As of yet, I've found nothing I dislike about the guys at Talon. I'm all for any opportunity that allows them to potentially have more classes.

As a sidenote, since we're on the subject, does anyone think it might be possible for them to work with Tallahassee Indoor Shooting Range to perhaps offer a small pistol marksmanship class or something? They talked about putting some of the longer advanced classes on hold until the weather cools down a bit, but an indoor venue might allow them to get around that.

Here's the deal. Generally speaking I have two Saturdays a month off. Being that Charlie and I are only allowed to use Pat Thomas on Saturdays that gives us 2 days a month to work with. Believe me if we could schedule classes that didn't conflict with anything we would. We enjoy providing a service to our community, especially doing something we are passionate about. Maybe one day I will have a M-F job, Charlie does now but neither of us like having classes when the other one can't be there, we feel cheated when we miss something. Hope to see some of Ya'll at the range. I appologize for the conflict.

It's a little disappointing to see that kind of overlap/conflict within our small shooting community.

Again, NOT speaking for Talon, but I'd bet my bippy they would be receptive to the idea of working something out.

Perhaps a class . . or classes, held at TRPC . . . ? I dunno.
I'm going to back up on myself, I tend to get real defensive when I feel TRPC has been slighted. Shooters attending classes to better themselves at shooting has no impact on matches, which is a place to test those skills. And if the classes are only available during a match day, then that's just the way it is. My apologies for mouthing off.

TRPC has never allowed commercial enterprise on range property, which is something I've never agreed with, but has always been voted down by a substantial margin.

BUMP.

If you are one of the many (many!) folks out there that would dearly LOVE to see me publicly humiliate myself . . in person (as opposed to just here on the Internet), this is a great opportunity to do so!! I'll be shooting at targets.

As JD mentioned before, we have a limited number of Saturdays per month to work with. JD gets two weekends per month off. I don't get any. I work every Friday until 5am Saturday morning, then I have to get back up and go to work Saturday night, so anything I do on a weekend leaves me pretty tired.

That being said, I'll take a little blame for this particular conflict, because when we scheduled our August training class, word had come out from TRPC that there was not going to be a match in August. Charlie even asked me if we needed to move the the August class so as to not conflict with the USPSA match, and I said 'no' because there wasn't supposed to be a match. That has since been changed, obviously, and there is a conflict. I am always torn when it comes down to either teaching a class or shooting a match, but I truly love teaching, and the match usualy takes a back seat--I figure I make up for it shooting big matches.

I appologize there was a conflict, and I hope you all understand. We certainly don't want to leave anyone out, or take away from another shooting sport here in town.

Its OK Raz, we all already figured it was your fault.

. . 'hope you know I am just teasing. The value of what you do simply can not be adequately stated. Neither can my appreciation for it.

I'm just about to email the Talon guys to make sure I have a spot. I cleared getting an evening shift with my boss, so I'll be able to come and make Rumbler look bad.

You need to set your goals higher. Like . . . chewing gum and walking at the same time . . ?
