On Friday I wend down and met with Richard, Frank and the staff at Otter creek to finalize some details for the shoot. We decided to move the machine guns from the 400 yd range to the 100 yd range for safety reasons. Because of this we will be able to utilize the sporting clays range which costs $6.50 per round (25) for members and $10 per round for non members.

There's going to be a lot of people walking around with guns so for safety reasons all firearms must be secured in a case until you are on a Hot range.

I have a great feeling about this outing it might be one of the best things to happen for shooters in Tallahassee. The staff at Otter Creek is really looking forward to this as well and we are already planning the next shoot with a swap meet and an old car for us to shoot.

Sweett, I know it's legal to openly carry in a holster while at the range; Does the 'secured in a case' rule apply to holster carried firearms while at the shoot?

I just got off the phone with Ed and yes you can open carry in a holster but it must stay holstered until on a hot range.
